Aims and Objectives

This top-up degree programme is designed for holders of Higher Diploma or Associate Degree. This is a broad-based programme, which prepares students for an enhanced role in general management or administration within the public and private sectors. The programme explores and develops the functional areas of business, including management, marketing and strategy.

Study Support activities such as orientation, library induction, research workshop will be run to facilitate academic support and provide students with a framework for independent learning.
 

Study Schedule

Classes are conducted on weekday evenings and/or Saturday afternoons/evenings on PolyU Hung Hom Bay Campus or PolyU West Kowloon Campus.

 

Teaching and Assessment

A variety of teaching and assessment methods will be used including lectures, workshops, seminars, projects and group exercises with the aim of helping students to become independent learners equipped with practical skills and competencies. Students will be assessed by assignments. Some modules may also have a written examination.

Entry Requirements

For admission to the programme, applicants should:
i) possess a Higher Diploma or an Associate Degree or an equivalent qualification in a business-related discipline, or BTEC Higher National Diploma in Business, AND
ii) achieve a score of 575 in TOEFL or 6.5 in IELTS, or equivalent in other tests of English (e.g. HKALE, HKCEE or HKDSE).

 

Holders of other qualification(s) with substantial relevant work experience may also apply. Such applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an admission test and an interview.

Financial Assistance

Extended Non-means-tested Loan

Students on the programme are eligible to apply for the Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS) offered by the Student Finance Office (SFO). Further information on the scheme can be obtained via the SFO website.
