Dr NG, Ting-yan

Dr Ng Tingyan graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he was awarded Bachelor of Arts (Hons), Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy in Chinese Language and Literature. When he was a PhD student, he received the "Teaching Award of Excellent Teaching Assistant of Chinese Language and Literature Department" and obtained the "Hop Wai Short-Term Research Grant" funded by the Institute of Chinese Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong to collect research materials at the National Diet Library in Tokyo, Japan. After graduation, he worked as a lecturer in community colleges and a tutor in learning centres. He understands the various needs of students.
Dr Ng was a research assistant at the D. C. Lau Research Centre for Chinese Ancient Texts, participating in the project "An Integrated Study of the Pre-Han and Han Lexicon". His research interests mainly lie in Ancient Chinese Texts and Xunzi Studies. Some of his papers were published in refereed journals and conference proceedings.
