Behind the Scenes at Hong Kong International Airport
18 Apr 2026
On 18 April 2026, business students enrolled in the “Aviation Service Management” subject took part in a half‑day programme at Hong Kong International Airport. The initiative aimed to deepen their understanding of operations at one of the world’s busiest aviation hubs.
The programme began with a professional briefing and safety orientation, followed by an airside apron tour where the students observed live aircraft turnaround and ground‑handling procedures. They also visited key facilities including the North Apron, cargo stands and maintenance areas, and experienced the autonomous transport system at Terminal 1.
An interactive Q&A session concluded the visit, where airport staff provided the students with first‑hand insights into the dynamic field of aviation service management, effectively bridging classroom theory with real‑world practice.
