Exploring Hong Kong’s Monetary Heritage

On 14 and 17 November 2025, students from PolyU CPCE’s Division of Business and Hospitality Management visited the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, where they delved into the history of Hong Kong’s monetary, financial and banking systems dating back to 1842. 

During a guided tour, they learned about the evolution of note‑issuing banks and key milestones in the development of Hong Kong’s currency. Interactive exhibits and engaging games not only enhanced their understanding of monetary stability but also strengthened bonds among peers, making the experience both educational and memorable.
