PolyU SPEED successfully held its Admission Day on 14 June 2025 (Saturday), with a strong turnout from prospective students eager to explore further study opportunities. Despite the hoisting of Typhoon Signal No. 3, the event was well-attended, demonstrating participants’ determination to make informed decisions about their academic futures. A series of programme talks and consultations were held across different Academic Divisions, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of undergraduate top-up degree and master’s degree programmes.

 

Highlights of the Day
Division of Languages and Communication (LC)
The session "Future Fluent: Navigating the MA in AI and Technology-assisted Language Teaching" introduced the innovative applications of AI in language education, attracting educators and language enthusiasts looking to integrate technology into teaching.

 

Division of Business and Hospitality Management (BHM)
The "MSc in Digital Business and Marketing Management" talk explored the latest trends in digital transformation, equipping participants with knowledge on leveraging AI and data analytics in business strategies.

 

Division of Science, Engineering, and Health Studies (SEHS)
The seminar "Advance Your Career with AI: Master Sentiment-Driven Investing Using LLMs" showcased how large language models are revolutionising financial analysis, providing attendees with valuable insights into AI-powered investment strategies.

 

Division of Social Sciences, Humanities and Design (SSHD)
The admission talk "From Stress to Strength - Thriving in the Changing World" for the BSocSc (Hons) in Psychology provided valuable perspectives on mental resilience and career pathways in psychology.

Application fees were waived for both undergraduate and master’s degree programmes, with eligible undergraduate applicants receiving offers on the same day. All PolyU SPEED graduates will earn a degree awarded by PolyU, a world top 100 university.
