PolyU SPEED now offers degrees accredited by The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)

Students of BA (Hons) Scheme in Marketing programmes eligible for CIM exemptions

The School of Professional Education and Executive Development of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU SPEED) is pleased to announce that the following three programmes under the BA (Hons) Scheme in Marketing have recently obtained approval from The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) for exemptions on CIM qualifications:

  • BA (Hons) in Marketing and Digital Strategy
  • BA (Hons) in Marketing and Public Relations
  • BA (Hons) in Marketing Management

Offering over 30 full-time and part-time articulation honours degree programmes, PolyU SPEED has developed strong links with CIM, which has over 20,000 members in more than 100 countries. In addition to graduating with a PolyU accredited degree, PolyU SPEED students of the above degree programmes will be able to gain industry-recognised CIM qualifications at an accelerated pace.

Dr Jack Lo, Director of PolyU SPEED, said, “The curriculum of PolyU SPEED’s marketing programmes aligns with CIM’s learning outcomes to ensure that it meets industry requirements. We look forward to further collaborating with CIM to help our students and graduates gain professional recognition in marketing and business, and develop a professional career in their chosen fields.”

Shorter routes to completing CIM programmes

Ms Maureen Wincott, learner partnerships manager at CIM, said, “We are delighted to continue our partnership with PolyU SPEED. Students now only need to pass one module to complete the CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing or Professional Digital Marketing or two modules to complete the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing or Professional Digital Marketing. This will help students kickstart their marketing careers and fast-track their development.”
