Professional Online Sharing Sessions Keep Students Abreast of Latest Industry Knowledge

The CPCE Employability Services Office (CESO) and the four Academic Divisions of CPCE co-organised two online sharing sessions on 27 and 29 April 2022. Industry experts were invited to conduct talks on various themes, with the aim of helping students keep abreast of the latest industry knowledge and enhancing their cross-disciplinary skills.
The first session, with the theme of “Re-thinking Creativity and Innovation: Creative Careers through Applied Media Arts and Content Interactions”, was jointly organised by the CESO, the Division of Social Sciences, Humanities and Design, and the Division of Languages and Communication. Mr Hui Siu-kong, Founder of Kongnection Graphics Limited, expressed his thoughts on “Designing Fonts – Linking Arts with Writing”, while Ms Maggie Woo, Project Director of KL&K Creative Strategics, shared with the participants her valuable experience around the topic of “Understanding the Traits of Creative Practitioners”.
With the theme of “Business & Engineering: A Combination for Success”, the second session was jointly held by the CESO, the Division of Business and Hospitality Management, and the Division of Science, Engineering and Health Studies. Mr Thomas Chan, Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Novelte Robotics Limited, offered his insights into the topic of “Technology in Business: AI & Machine Learning”, followed by sharing from Mr Alan Kwok and Ms Adroit Mak, Co-founders of DeskX Limited, on “Project Engineering for Entrepreneurs”.
