Service-Learning Subject “Storytelling for Understanding: Refugee Children in Hong Kong” Organises Three Workshops

Eleven PolyU SPEED students taking the Service-Learning subject “Storytelling for Understanding: Refugee Children in Hong Kong” and eight other PolyU SPEED students joined three workshops – “Refugee Walk”, “Chung King Mansions Tour”, and “Human Library” organised by the Division of Languages and Communication of PolyU CPCE and Christian Action’s Centre for Refugees on 5 and 12 October 2024.

They were exposed to diverse cultures and communities living in Hong Kong and reflected on the hardship of the life of refugees. One participant, Apple, wrote, “How glad and honoured I was to be able to partake in these uniquely insightful and inspiring workshops. I think we should let more Hong Kong students to join these workshops.”
