Students Visit Hong Kong’s First Zero-Carbon Building

On 9 May 2026, students from the MSc in Green Business Management programme undertook an educational visit to CIC–Zero Carbon Park, Hong Kong’s first zero-carbon building, and the MiC Resources Centre, the city’s first building constructed using the Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) method. The visit formed a key component of the students’ Environmental Assessment and Corporate Sustainability studies.

At Zero Carbon Park, the students examined low-carbon building design, renewable energy integration and climate-responsive landscaping within an urban context. The MiC Resources Centre showcased the advantages of Modular Integrated Construction, highlighting its role in boosting productivity, strengthening quality control, and reducing waste.

Through guided discussions and on-site observations, the students deepened their understanding of carbon management and sustainable construction practices, reinforcing how sustainability principles can be applied in real-world business settings.
