PolyU SPEED Belt and Road Scholarship 2025/26

Introduction

PolyU SPEED is pleased to announce the launch of the PolyU SPEED Belt and Road Scholarship for the 2025/26 academic year. This initiative aligns with the HKSAR government's efforts to promote the "Study in Hong Kong" brand, which aims to position Hong Kong as a premier destination for international students and a global education hub. 

 

Objectives

•  Support Outstanding Students: To enable outstanding tertiary students from the Belt and Road countries/regions to pursue two-year full-time undergraduate top-up degree programmes (senior year admission) at PolyU SPEED in Hong Kong, earning a degree awarded by PolyU, a world top 100 university
•  Facilitate Educational and Cultural Exchanges: To enhance educational and cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and the Belt and Road countries/regions

 

Who Are Eligible

•    Tertiary students from the Belt and Road countries/regions with outstanding academic and/or non-academic performance who are admitted to a 2-year full-time undergraduate top-up degree programme (i.e. senior year admission) at PolyU SPEED in the 2025/26 academic year (September 2025 entry). 

 

Scholarship Amount

•  Either a full-tuition scholarship or a half-tuition scholarship will be awarded based on the academic merit of individual students

 

Undergraduate Top-up Degree Programmes (i.e. Senior Year Admission)

  • Entrance Requirements

Holder of an Associate Degree / Higher Diploma or an equivalent qualification*.

* An Associate Degree or Higher Diploma obtained in Hong Kong is considered equivalent to the first two years of a four-year bachelor's degree programme.

  • Application Deadline 

Interested students shall submit their applications online at SPEED Online Application For Admission on or before 31 March 2025 to be considered for the PolyU SPEED Belt & Road Scholarship.

 

Due to a longer processing time for non-local students’ admission applications and the requirement to apply for a student visa, the earlier they apply, the higher their chances of receiving the Scholarship.
