Recognising the increasing importance of taxation practice in Hong Kong, the School of Professional Education and Executive Development of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU SPEED) and The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK) intend to enter into a range of collaborations so as to promote the education of taxation and uphold Hong Kong’s position as an international financial centre. Accordingly, Ms Karmen Yeung, President of TIHK, and Dr Jack Lo, Director of PolyU SPEED, signed a memorandum of understanding to confirm the collaboration on 2 June 2016.

PolyU SPEED will offer revision courses to practitioners and PolyU SPEED graduates, among others, to help them prepare for the public examinations leading to the professional designation of Certified Tax Adviser (CTA) offered by TIHK. PolyU SPEED will start providing revision courses which would be held tentatively in September 2016 for the CTA Examinations. The two parties will also explore collaborations in research and scholarly activities in relation to taxation policy and practice for enhancing students’ pertinent professional knowledge.
