PolyU SPEED Students Awarded HKICPA Scholarship

PolyU SPEED has been offering BBA (Hons) in Accountancy since the 2014/15 academic year. The School forges partnership and works closely with the professional associations in the accounting sector to enrich students’ learning experience. 

 

In 2016, two students Chan Lok Cho and Ng Ming Yui of PolyU SPEED’s BBA (Hons) in Accountancy received the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) Qualification Programme (QP) Scholarship. This serves as a solid testimony that the academic standard of this programme is recognised by the accounting sector.

 

The HKICPA Award Ceremony for QP Top Students and Scholarship Recipients December 2015 and June 2016 Sessions was held at the HKICPA's Auditorium on 17 September 2016. Mr Lui Tim Leung, Chairman of the Education Commission, was the
Guest of Honour at the Ceremony. Other guests attending the ceremony included Dr Bosco Yu and Ms Josephine Wong, Programme Leader and Deputy Programme Leader of BBA (Hons) in Accountancy, who commended for the outstanding academic performance achieved by Lok Cho and Ming Yui, as well as their active participation in extra-curricular activities and community services.

 

Dr Artie Ng, Deputy Director of PolyU SPEED, also took this opportunity to congratulate the awardees. He added that the School, with a vision to be a leading selffinancing tertiary education institution in Hong Kong, strives to offer quality professionally-oriented programmes and human capital development so as to uphold Hong Kong as a global financial centre.
