The BA in Housing Management had been offered by PolyU SPEED since 2004, and it had been upgraded to the honours degree level to become the BA (Hons) in Housing Management as from the 2014/15 academic year. The School has been forging partnership and working closely with various professional associations in the housing management sector to enrich students’ learning experience.
In 2017, three students of BA (Hons) in Housing Management of PolyU SPEED, namely Au Yeung Wai Chak, Chan Lok Sze Joyce and Chan Yin Nam, received the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) Scholarship Award. Another two students, Poon Yi Man and Siu Mei Mei, of the same programme received the HKHS Bursary Award. This serves as a solid testimony that the academic standard of this programme is recognised by the housing management sector.
The HKHS Award Presentation Ceremony was held at World Trade Centre on 21 January 2017. Mr. Marco Wu, the HKHS Chairman, was the Guest of Honour at the Ceremony. Other guests attending the ceremony included Mr. Anthony K.H. Wong, Programme Leader of BA (Hons) in Housing Management of PolyU SPEED, who commended for the outstanding academic performance achieved by the students as well as their active participation in extra-curricular activities and community services.
Dr. Artie Ng, Deputy Director of PolyU SPEED, also attended the ceremony and he took the opportunity to congratulate the awardees. He said that the School, with a vision of being a leading self-financing tertiary education institution in Hong Kong, strives to offer quality professionally-oriented programmes so as to nurture professionals for the housing management sector in Hong Kong.
