Refund Policy

PolyU SPEED Articulation (Top-up) Degree Programmes

 

Eligibility

The tuition fees (inclusive of registration fee) paid are neither refundable nor transferrable except for those listed below:

  1. Those who are admitted to the following types of programmes: 
  • any programmes funded by the University Grants Committee (UGC) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) * ; or  

  • self-financing programmes offered by PolyU or other types of programmes offered by PolyU SPEED (e.g. overseas franchised programmes by Northumbria University, excluding PolyU-SPEED Award Programmes)

3 calendar days upon receipt of the offer letter of the eligible programme or before the programme commencement of PolyU-SPEED Award Programme, whichever is earlierFULL refund of the tuition fees paid

II. Those who have failed to meet the prescribed admission condition(s), if any

How to Apply

Applications for a refund should be made by emailing the duly completed application form (click Form CAR 15b) to sp.car@speed-polyu.edu.hk with relevant supporting documents, such as

  • Category I: The offer letter from and/or the payment receipt of the acceptance fee paid to the institution concerned

  • Category II: Proof of failure in meeting the prescribed admission condition(s), e.g. subject enrolment statement, notification of tuition fee payment, latest academic transcript, a letter issued by the institution or a copy of the renewed student card of the sub-degree programme concerned showing the continuation of studies in the academic year/ semester in which applicants seek admission to the PolyU-SPEED Award Programme.

 

Refund Arrangements

Successful applicants will receive their refund by autopay in about four to six weeks’ time upon receipt of their bank account information.  Requests for arranging the refund to a third party will not be entertained. 

 

* Details of UGC-funded programmes can be found on the website of the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) at www.jupas.edu.hk/en/about-jupas/introduction/ under the category of “University Grants Committee (UGC)-funded Programmes”.  [Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP) programmes, programmes offered by Hong Kong Metropolitan University (including those that can be applied through JUPAS) and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) are NOT UGC-funded programmes.
