Programme Features
- Graduates were admitted into master’s degree programmes at local and overseas universities such as The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and King's College London
- Opportunities to participate in internships. Past students have undergone training at PCCW Solutions, ICO Limited, Midland Holdings Limited and Hong Kong Economic Times
- Covers new technologies including cloud computing (e.g. Amazon Web Services and machine learning using Python)
- Teaches database technologies including Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB (a NoSQL database)
- Emphasises training in website development including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery
- Introduces E-commerce strategies, Google Analytics, and CMS (content management system)

Professional Recognition
- Students can join the Hong Kong College of Community Health Practitioners (HKCCHP) as student members, and, upon graduation, can advance to the Associate Fellowship (AFHKCCHP) status.
- Students are also eligible to apply for Student Membership with the ISACA (previously known as the Information Systems Audit and Control Association) and Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS).

- Graduates are able to pursue a wide range of careers, including Database Support Personnel, IT Support Personnel, Network Administrator and Website Developer

Programme Structure
The programme of study consists of at least 120 credits. All students are also required to complete 300 hours of non-credit-bearing Work-Integrated Education component.

Entrance Requirements
For HKDSE qualification holders:
- Level 3 in Chinese Language and English Language;
- Level 2 in Mathematics;
- “Attained” level in Citizenship and Social Development; and
- Level 2 or “Attained” level in one elective.
For holders of other qualifications:
- The equivalents of the above requirements.
For those who do not possess the above-mentioned qualifications but have reached the age of 25 before 1 September in the admission year, they may apply as “mature” applicants. They must demonstrate sufficient motivation, knowledge and potential to indicate a high probability of being able to complete the programme successfully.
